Women of Steel
Marci Barr

Hello Sisters!

I am pleased to introduce myself as Local 338’s Women of Steel Committee Chair. I have been a member of Local 338 since 2011 when I hired in at Trentwood as a Furnace Process Line Operator. I soon got involved as a member of the Election Committee in 2012, became a full time Department Safety Rep in 2015, and currently hold the position of Treasurer. I look forward to working with you on some old and new activities in the coming year.

I want to thank our past Committee Chairs for all of their contributions and support!

This year I would like to focus on strengthening our sisterhood, as this is the first step to becoming a committee that can not only make a positive impact as Union Women, but also by helping to build up our local and give back to the communities where our members and families reside.

Our first 2018 WOS event is the Active & Retiree Union Picnic on July 22nd in Post Falls, ID at Q’emlin Park from 11 am to 4 pm. Members are needed for setup, cooking and clean up. What can you and/or your family members help with?

If you have ideas, comments, questions or to volunteer, please call me at 509-768-0087.

I look forward to working with each of you in building a strong WOS!

In Solidarity,

Marci Barr
